Sister Norma M. Dunwoody
Church of Christ Historian

Sister Norma Marie Dunwoody, born June 30, 1934, was Baptized in 1941 and remained a Faithful member of the Church of Christ until her death on January 10, 2021.

 

In 2018, Sister Dunwoody became an active member of the 11th Street Church of Christ, where she developed a deep appreciation for the energy and new direction that “Larry and Stephanie,” Our Minister and Wife, were bringing to 11th Street. That energy inspired her to want to write 11th Street Church’s History, and the Brethren of 11th Street Church of Christ supported this endeavor.

 

With the help of three original members, Sister Lula Calhoun, Brother Johnny Calhoun Sr., and Sister Betty Al-Ghani, she gathered the core History of 11th Street Church of Christ from their perspectives and supporting documents.
